Hanna Ammonia Meter
It is fairly common to find Ammonia in most ponds, as Ammonia is produced by fish as a product of excretion. The waste fish produce is converted to Nitrite and then to Nitrate by bacteria, as part of the nitrogen cycle. Ammonia is the more toxic to fish than nitrite or nitrate and it is one of the most important water parameters to monitor. An ammonia meter or ammonia test kit is an important must for an koi or fish keeper.
The Hanna Ammonia Meter Hi-93700 is an extremely easy to use low range Ammonia tester and gives direct readout on the digital display in mg/L(ppm). To obtain a reading simply take a small sample of water in the glass cuvette supplied, add the reagent (not included), and then place the cuvette in the measuring chamber of the instrument.
The Hanna Hi-93700 shows ammonia concentrations directly from 0.00 to 3.00 mg/L.
The Hanna Hi-83203 is also an accurate ammonia meter. It is a useful pond water meter that can also measure Nitrite, Nitrate, pH, dissolved oxygen, phosphates and Total Chlorine.
